Radical Christianity

I am unconvinced by anyone who says they have met Jesus, the Risen God-man, King of all creation, who sits at the right hand of Sovereign God, and remains content to live as they have always lived.

The only Christianity that exists is radical. It refuses to be silenced, stifled, or subdued.

Whether amidst friends or murderous enemies it demands to be lived with undeniable expression.

It stands on street corners and hands out pamphlets with truth everyone hates. It brings up taboo things in polite company.

It is a friend to the fatherless, a hope to the widow, a cool drink to the spiritually thirsty, a warm light to anyone seeking God, and an unspeakable terror to anyone who sides against what is good.

It does not tire. It needs no sleep. It does not hunger except for Christ. It has no thirst save for God.

It heals any it touches and it breaks any who come against it.

Sometimes caged by our continued brokenness, yet even there it endows us with strength and makes us more than conquerors of our weakness.

It is meek in its strength and humble in its ability.

It is the inescapable result of loving a Risen Lord and having His spirit reside in us.

Anything else is a bunch of posers trying to get street cred by using the right lingo.
